Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity from WHO (World Health Organisation).

When a person has good physical health, they are able to work and function well. It is not just the absence of disease but they eat a well balanced diet, ensure they have regular exercise, avoid drinking, smoking and taking illegal drugs. They have a good work and life balance and may participate in regular sports.
Mental Health
Good mental health is as important as our physical health. You are able to cope with day to day life and the stresses that may arise. Be able to bounce back from adversity and achieve your full potential. Mental health can change and it depends what is happening in your life and in your specific circumstances.
Good mental health is characterised by a person’s ability to fulfil a number of key functions and activities, including: the ability to learn. the ability to feel, express and manage a range of positive and negative emotions. the ability to form and maintain good relationships with others.
