by I was deeply saddened to hear about the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. She was a constant in so many lives around the world and was not only a leader but showed dignity and humility throughout her long life of duty and service.
She was the only Queen I have known and will ever know in the UK.
The Queen said “When I was 21, I pledged my life to the service of our people and I asked for God’s help to make good that vow. Although that vow was made in my salad days, when I was green in judgement, I do not regret, or retract, one word of it.”
It was wonderful that she was able to take part in her Platinum Jubilee and be on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. Reigning for 70 years is wonderful and shows her resilience and sense of duty.
My thoughts and prayers are with King Charles III, the Royal Family and all those near and dear.
